Will Writing Price

Our costs
We have spent over 15 year’s working on a clear and transparent method of offering a ‘Low Cost, Fixed fee’ service. You will not see us offering cut price will writing as a ‘special offer’ (such as you see on many social media pages) as we do not feel this is fair for our other client’s who have paid full price, plus, in all honesty the value of our product and service is reflective of the price we charge.
How much does a Will cost?
We charge £199 for an individual Will or £299 for a pair of ‘Mirror Wills’ (one will each for a couple, both present at the appointment). All of our costs are transparent without hidden extras and so this price includes VAT.
What do I get included in that price?
When searching for a Will writer, it is absolutely vital you find out what is included in the cost, to ensure you are not lead into believing you are paying one price, but then are required or ‘upsold’ extras by a sales person, which are vital for making the Will legal and binding, quicky increasing the cost. All of our Wills are priced to include everything to make it a standard, legal Will. What you see is what you pay.

Why are you different to ‘online’ Will Writers?
There are many ways we are different to online Will Writers. The main one being, that we have shops on High Streets around East Anglia and meet with you face to face. This means you have the reassurance of knowing who you are dealing with and can ask our experts questions. Here are a few other things to keep in mind, if you’re considering using online will Writing
- Are they a legitimate company? Will writing is not a regulated industry (something we have campaigned to change) and unfortunately there are many fraudulent companies out there
- Do they offer advice included? Many online Will writers do not offer free advice.
- How can they spot potential problems with how your will is set up?– Many will produce a will based on what you tell them to, so is reliant on you knowing what your Will needs… not necessarily what is legally allowed or worded correctly
- Planning to leave someone out of your Will? what steps are they following to ensure your wishes are followed?
- What organisations are they covered and trained by?– for example, we are members of the society of Will writers.
- What customer service do they offer? And can you contact them easily, without complicated automated phone systems, designed to put you off calling.
- Do they have insurance? This is vital to give you additional protection.
Overall, you have spent your life working hard for what you have, do you really want to risk all of that with a company you can not physically see… or often even speak to. Remember, once your family find out a Will has failed, it is too late.
Why can’t I just make a Will myself?
You can. However, we know from industry research that a very high number of homemade wills (around 8-9/10) fail when they go to probate. Remember you can do electrical work on your house or mechanical work on your car yourself, but sometimes it is better to pay the professionals to do it properly…. especially when it comes to deciding what happens to everything in your life have paid for!
Are your Wills produced by Solicitors?
No, all of our Wills are produced in our Cambridge head office. We do from time to time use a very large firm of solicitors, which we have worked with for many years, to carry out any additional, complicated work.
From our own research, many solicitors charge far more than we do for producing Wills, without the added benefits of fixed fees, free advice, home appointments or an easy way to communicate, that we offer.

“Excellent service from beginning to end – and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I would, and do, highly recommend Inheritance Legal Services. A totally trustworthy team.”
